Day 2 of blogging!

Isabel' s Ball.  The velvet is from my maternity jacket and the floral, satin is from the lining of the jacket.  The corduroy is extra fabric from a slipcover I'm making for a chair in my livingroom and the white is from an african shirt that my dad brought back for me.

Benjamin's Ball.  This ball is made from recycled baby clothes.  The stripes are from two onesies and the solid blues are from 2 separate pairs of pants.  Bubba watched me make it from beginning to end and was very patient through the entire process.  He touches the stripe parts and says, "O, that's my shirt!"  He's very cute!

I'm still learning about my blog and can now insert pictures into the main body of the post.  Now, I'd really like to learn how to put a patterned background on my blog but it all seems too complicated for me!  And when I try to sit down and think, someone cries or screams or tries to climb up my legs.

I'm off to play now and I'm hoping I'll finish my chair today or tomorrow and I'll put up some picures soon.  Ta!

Balls

Well, the balls have to be in two separate pictures because the way it uploads them here, it crops one out.  We'll see if it works this time!
This is my first ever blog post.  Congratulations, me!  I wonder if anyone will read it.  My inspiration is the purlbee website!  It is a marvelous place to get ideas and to satisfy your whimsy!

I had a pink velvet jacket that I wore when I was pregnant and it is huge and good for nothing now.  That is until I found a pattern for fabric beach balls!  My Isabel loves balls, so I made her one last night and she loves it!  Then, Benjamin wanted me to make him a ball too, so I did this morning and now he's napping with it.  I have a picture of the balls on my camera so I'm going to learn how to put it on here now.
